The poet, essayist and geographer co-edited Braided Identities: Being Well in Canada (University of Alberta Press $28.99) with Julie Sutherland, Margo Greenwood and Audrey Kobayashi. Combining essays, poetry, visual art and research, the collection explores how racism, disability and belonging shape well-being and medical care. Raised in rural northern BC, de Leeuw now divides her time between Prince George and Okanagan Centre.
