Knightly gets Whistler Indie Award

October 16th, 2022

Three authors won awards at the Whistler Independent Book Awards on October 14, including BC-based Rae Knightly (at right) who took the Children’s prize for her science fiction title, Ben Archer and the World Beyond (Self-published $11.99).

Ben Archer is one of those books that is, to quote the cliché, ‘hard to put down.’ Right from the word go, it does what any Middle Grade adventure story should do—it hooks the reader in and pulls them along to the end of the book,” said the judges. “Ben Archer is a character who has just enough innocence and youth to be believable, and yet his special abilities like the alien skill and his secrets keep him interesting.”

Rae Knightly (a pseudonym) lives near Vancouver and has written seven sci-fi novels, six in her Alien Skill Series.
