Alex Zimmerman has self-published, Becoming Coastal: 25 years of exploration and discovery of the British Columbia coast by paddle, oar and sail (Seaworthy Publications $34.95). An avid sailor and outdoorsman, Zimmerman has built several of his own boats and kayaks, and both his sail and oar boats.
