A Boy Asked the Wind

June 18th, 2015

Fortunately we goofed. At the end of an article on Yarrow writers on page 42 of the Summer issue of B.C. BookWorld, Robert Martens was identified as a physician married to author Barbara Nickel. He is neither. Fortunately this clarification affords an opportunity to let the world know Nickel has a new picture book this fall, A Boy Asked the Wind (Red Deer Press $19.95), illustrated by Gillian Newland. She’ll be reading from it at the Yarrow Library on October 8th and presenting creative writing workshops for teens at the Chilliwack Library on October 17 and 31.
