Undercover in Vancouver

During his 35-year career with the RCMP, when he worked undercover on heroin, cocaine and homicide cases, Norm Boucher spent eight months in Vancouver infiltrating the heroin scene in the 1980s. Now retired, Boucher reveals this subculture, which was centered around three rundown hotels on Granville Street downtown, in his memoir Horseplay: My Time Undercover on the Granville Strip (NeWest $21.95), out in November.
