Squamish-based Wendy Winter has written her debut children’s book, Where’s My Joey? (Self-published $14.99), with illustrations by Roxana Antochi. It’s the story of a mother Kangaroo who cannot find her Joey and begins a search. The book also explores other Australian animals and links them to Canadian wildlife. Wendy Winter’s inspiration to write this story came while teaching in Perth, Australia in 2007. It is planned as the first in a series of books.
