May 13th, 2026

British Columbia writer Michael Chouinard has worked as a warehouse labourer, cab driver, convenience store clerk, newspaper reporter and communications professional, experiences that inform his fiction writing. Inspired by Kurt Vonnegut and a lifelong love of storytelling, Chouinard makes his debut with The Thirty-Three and a Third Revolutions (self-published $19.48), a novel set in the 1990s record business. Following art school graduate Garrett Fagan as he takes a job at a record warehouse on the West Coast, the story explores friendship, precarious work, music culture and disillusionment as Garrett and his co-workers struggle to find stability and meaning in their lives. 9781069919007
