On Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m.,  Canadian icon bill bissett will perform some of his most recent poetry as published in For Kelly, With Love: Poems on the Abstracts of Carle Hessay (Treeline Press, 2014) in commemoration of Victoria poet, Kelly Parsons. Celebrated for his sound and visual poetry techniques (having written over 70 books of poetry), bill bissett received the George Woodcock Lifetime Achievement award in 2007 for his outstanding contributions to literature and he was awarded an honorary doctorate at Thompson Rivers University in 2008. At this special event, selected abstract paintings by BC artist Carle Hessay will be on display. It’s a free event at Templed Mind Studio, Gallery, 2006 Fernwood Road (across from the Fernwood Inn and down the block from the Belfry Theatre), Victoria.
