Big bodies

Christina Myers edited Big: Stories about Life in Plus-Sized Bodies (Caitlin $24.95), a collection of non-fiction stories from 26 plus-sized, non-binary and trans people about how they navigate a society obsessed with thinness. Themes explored include: body image, fashion, fat activism, sexuality, diet culture and the collective obsession with women’s bodies. Myers holds degrees in journalism and psychology, and is an alumnus of SFU’s Writer’s Studio.
