Richmond Reads returns

June 23rd, 2026

Richmond Public Library has selected Robyn Harding’s new novel, Strangers in the Villa, as the 2026 Richmond Reads Adult Summer Book Club pick.

Running from June 24 to August 31, the annual community reading program invites readers to explore Harding’s latest psychological thriller through author events, book discussions and reading challenges.

As part of the program, Harding will appear at Brighouse Library on July 7 from 7–8 p.m. to discuss Strangers in the Villa, a novel about a couple attempting to rebuild their relationship in Spain only to find themselves entangled with unwelcome guests. The presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A, book sale and signing.

Additional Richmond Reads activities include a discussion of Harding’s previous novel, The Drowning Woman, at Easthope Hub (Steveston) Library on July 27, as well as the Richmond Reads Summer Passport Challenge, which offers participants opportunities to win prizes throughout the summer.

The July 7 author event is free, but registration is required.
