New book launch event

Vernon poet, John Lent (at right), will be launching his poetry collection, Molecular Cathedral: The Poetry of John Lent (Wilfred Laurier University Press $21.99) on October 19, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, at the Sprout Bakery and Café; and October 26, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Vernon library.

This book is a collection of Lent’s poems, showcasing his fifty-year career as an innovative poet and writing instructor from the Okanagan. Lent’s work is known for being experimental yet accessible, aiming to build clarity between poet and reader. His poems defy genre boundaries while blending conversational tone with sensual lyricism, always engaging with the reader. The book includes an introduction by Jake Kennedy and a reflective afterword by Lent, offering insight into his unique approach to poetry.
