Corporate satire, queer romance and dark fantasy collide in the work of Edgar Award-nominated Canadian author Mark Waddell. His upcoming novel, Messy as Hell (Viking $26.95), follows Sam, an underpaid janitor at a hellish multinational corporation who uncovers an infernal biohazard and a dangerous deal threatening humanity. Blending absurd workplace humour, apocalyptic stakes and a heartfelt romance, Waddell delivers a darkly comic take on corporate culture, office burnout and the chaos lurking behind closed doors. 9780735250345
