Forever Our Home / kâkikê kîkinaw (Orca $21.95) by author Tonya Simpson is a lullaby celebrating the ancestral bond between Indigenous children and their land. Written in Plains Cree and English, it introduces little ones to the plants and animals of the Prairies and the Plains. Featuring colourful artwork and illustrations by Carla Joseph, this meditative lullaby conveys our spiritual connection to the land under the morning sun and winter moon. Carla Joseph is a Cree artist originally from Prince George. She was the Artist in Residence for the Prince George Community Arts Council, and she has done design work for several organizations.
