Book club for writers

April 23rd, 2024

The Federation of BC Writers is hosting their latest program, an online book club for writers, giving them an opportunity to read and discuss books that are related to the craft of writing.

The event will be held on May 9, 2024, from 7:00 pm onwards via Zoom. It will span 75 minutes, featuring a combination of small group discussions using breakout rooms, large group discussions in the main room and an opportunity to hear the author’s insights and ask questions.

The award-winning author, Betsy Warland (at right) will be featured, and her book, Breathing the Page: Reading the Act of Writing (Cormorant Books, 2010) will be discussed and dissected during this event. Participants are requested to read Warland’s book before attending this event in order to actively join the discussions that will take place. Below are the steps that participants need to follow in preparation for the book club meeting:

  1. Register for the event and you’ll receive the discussion questions and the Zoom link.
