BC Book Day at Legislature

At the pleasure of the Speaker of the House, the Honourable Linda Reid, The Association of Book Publishers of BC (ABPBC) is pleased to announce that April 22, 2015 has been designated the second BC Book Day. Her Honour, The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, will attend again this year.

The BC Book Day celebration will take place in the Reception Hall at the Rotunda of Parliament Buildings from 9 am until 12 noon on April 22nd. As coordinators of the event, the ABPBC is planning to demonstrate the breadth of our community, and our cultural and economic impact with displays from publisher members as well as tables for members of the larger literary community of libraries, book festivals and bookstores.

Her Honour, the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia, will present from 11-noon.BC Book Day is the culmination of three weeks of events, readings and media celebrating BC authors and publishers, Read Local BC.
