A small-town boy who moved to Vancouver to live with a boyfriend from a privileged background, Casper Han hides a mysterious past in Eddy Boudel Tan’s third novel, The Tiger and the Cosmonaut (Viking $26.95). Eventually Casper returns home to find answers to the tragedy that has been haunting his immigrant family so that they can move past it. As a queer Asian Canadian, Tan celebrates diverse voices in his writing.
