Alena Rainsberry, a queer American kayaker and co-editor of Flow (RMB $40.00), an anthology that pairs with a forthcoming 2025 documentary to spotlight women’s narratives in adventure sports. Introduced to whitewater kayaking in 2021, Rainsberry quickly pursued rivers from the Ecuadorian jungle to the Indian Himalayas, embracing both the challenges of rapids and the cultural connections she formed along the way. She is a passionate advocate for women’s representation in outdoor sports, fostering community and encouraging others to explore new experiences.
