Beginning in South Africa in 1948, a double agent working for England’s MI6 is murdered. He leaves behind his lover who, unbeknownst to him is pregnant. The lover hightails it back to England to give birth and adopt out the baby. Seventy-four years later, a woman in Canada gets a DNA test to confirm she is related to a dementing woman who is her mother. That DNA test connects her to the murdered man from 1948.
