Hot and cold lullabies

January 28th, 2021

“Let me begin with a warning” heads one of Janet Vickers’ new poems in Sleep With Me: Lullaby for an Anxious Planet (Ekstasis, unpriced) because not all these verses are lullabies. They have been described as poetry like a cold shower and a warm towel all rolled into one; but that ultimately assert we can act against the forces for destruction. Vickers lives on Gabriola Island and this is her fifth poetry collection. 978-1771713603
